Konterfei is an independent magazine exploring portraiture as a cultural force — sitting between the art book and the contemporary publication. Developed as the practical component of a Bachelor's thesis investigating how portraiture shapes individual identity.

The layout is built around one principle: images get the full page. No competing text, no captions bleeding into the frame — each portrait presented without interruption.
Typefaces are intentionally sparse: one serif for headlines, one grotesque for captions and running text. The tension between the two carries the editorial voice without overpowering the image.
